    1-The drwaing is about people wanting to move the Stawell Gift(A race that has been held in Stawell for many years) to Ballarat.

    2-The cartoonist thinks that it is to far away to move the race there.

    3-It allows the illustrator to express there opinion on the issue.

    He shows this by showing the distance to Balllarat and by saying that the have to run all the way to Ballarat.

    The cartoon shows a running race with five people running to Ballarat which is 123 kilometres away. One of the men notices the sign that says it is that far away and there is a speech bubble saying "i thought it was a sprint"

    1. What issue is being discussed.. The issue is that they want the Stawell GIft race to be moved to Ballarat because it is struggling to raise the money.

    2. What opinion the cartoonist has.. The cartoonist believes that the running race should be held in Ballarat.

    3. Cartoons are like editorials because they try to get across a specific point and express an opinion.

    1. The issue is that the stawell gift should be moved to ballarat as it is struggling to pull in money and viewers.
    2. The opinon is that it should not be moved as it is the "stawell gift" and always has been. In a atempt to raise more money it is believed that the spirt and meaning of the Stawell gift will be lost.
    3. Political cartoons are like editorials as they both express an opinion that is in the news at the moment he he bye bye xxx

    * The drawing shows Jelena Dokic, (Australian tennis player)hitting a tennis ball. The tennis ball is shown to be her fathers head. The reason for this is that Jelena's father made her give up tennis years ago, because of his mental and physical abuse towards her.
    * Mark Knight is expressing that Jelena has finally fought back and is playing tennis again. She has overcome her earlier expieriences and is hitting her way back into pro tennis.

    * Cartoons are like editorials in the way that they express an opinion. Putting across a persuasive note.

    ....... =) ♥

  6. The issue that is being disscused is that Jelena Dokic disslikes (HATE!!!!) he father. the artist shows his opinion as getting her frustration out by hitting the tennis ball. Mark also shows her frustration through her face and the tenis ball to have the head of her father and she is hitting it. Catoons are like editorals because it shows opinions

    1. saying that every one hates Maicoim Turnbull and that Brendan Nelson is the popular one.

    2. The cartoonist put Maicolm Turnbull on the side of the road despretly needing a ride and Brendan Nelson rides past on a motorbike with a girl on the back.. and she said who was that Brendan? and he said oh nobody. Makes brendan look cooler than Malcolm.

    3. allows the illustrator to express there opinion
